| Fundraising We are excited to introduce our new, ongoing fundraising initiative, The St. Peter's Shop to Renovate Fundraising Program, it's the program that works while you shop. The beauty of this Program is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our church everytime you purchase shopping certificates and cash cards from brand name retailers that we all shop at, such as, Shoppers Drugmart, Canadian Tire, The Bay, Superstore, Thrifty Foods, Quality Foods, White Spot, Chevron and many more. They can be used for just about any household purchase. Including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out. St. Peter's will purchase these certificates at a discount price and then re-sell them to you at face value. It's that simple. These cards and certificates cost you no more thatn if you were to buy them at the store. Here's an example: You purchase $500 in grocery certificates for this month. The church orders the certificates and pays only $485. We earn $15. If 200 families participate at $500 per month, St. Peter's will earn $3000 per month. Think about the potential if we also include our gasoline and department store purchases at Petro-Canada, Zellers and Blockbuster. According to your family budget it may be more convenient to order these certificates weekly. How can you shop & support St. Peter's Parish? 1. Every Saturday or Sunday when you are at Mass you can pick up an order form from the back of the church or during the week from the parish office. 2. Review your spending needs and the participating stores. Determine which certificates you would like to purchase and the denominations. 3. Return the completed order form and cheque (made out to St. Peter's Fundraising) in a sealed envelope in the collections basket every Sunday. You can also choose to pay by cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard. 4. The following Friday you can pick up your certificate order at the office along with a new order form or in the vestibule of the church following weekend Masses. An example of a weekly purchase may look like this: $100 certificate at Thrifty Foods, $50 gas certificate for Esso, $25 certificate at White Spot, $50 at Superstore for a total of $225. All orders must be pre-paid. Each week could be different, there are endless possibilities and we are supporting St. Peter's Parish in renovation projects at no extra cost to us. Orders will be placed on Mondays and pick-up will be available on Fridays after lunch and also after weekend Masses or the following week at your convenience from the church office. We are raising these funds in order to complete renovation projects. For example, leaking walls and the parish hall. Please place a certificate order today!
