The weekend began with a soccer match on Friday, September 4, as we kicked off our 150th Anniversary celebrations with an exciting evening of soccer featuring the St. Peter’s Soccer Team! The match was a fun-filled way to begin a weekend dedicated to 150 years of faith, friendship, and service at St. Peter’s Parish.
The celebration continued on Saturday, September 5, with our 150th Anniversary Mass and Parish Celebration, presided over by Bishop Gary Gordon, our pastor Fr. Kenneth Uwaoma, Fr. Stepan of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, special guests, parishioners and members of our wider community.
Celebration included cultural and musical presentations from the various communities of St. Peter’s, showcasing the rich diversity of traditions and talents within our parish family. Parishioners also gathered around a wonderful potluck meal, generously sharing their favorite dishes and enjoying a time of fellowship.
Through prayer, music, food, and community, we gave thanks for the many people, cultures, and gifts that have enriched St. Peter’s Parish and continue to make it a vibrant family of faith.
