WELCOME

At saint peter's parish, we want everyone to feel truly welcomed as we all participate in the sacramental life of the church. We believe that the body of christ is made of many parts and that everyone’s full and active participation is necessary for the betterment of our parish and for the church at large. While we are committed to accessibility and removing barriers to participation in the church, we want to move beyond simply removing barriers and focus on fostering true inclusion. As pope francis said, “there is no inclusion if the experience of fraternity and mutual community is missing. There is no inclusion if it remains a slogan, a formula to be used in politically correct speeches, a flag. There is no inclusion if there is no conversion in the practices of coexistence and relationships.”  

We recognize disabilities come in a variety of forms and are not always visible. Whether one experiences a cognitive, neurological, or learning disability; a medical, mobile, or auditory disability; a motor, speech, or visual disability; or a combination of multiple disabilities, everyone has gifts and talents to share in the community that are necessary and valued.

ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCES & PARKING

ACCESSIBLE CHURCH ENTRANCES

Ramps are at the main entrance and left church entrance  when facing Mount Benson.

ACCESSIBLE PARISH HALL ENTRANCE

Our hall ramp entrance is located in the back parking lot beside the accessible parking. 

ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPOTS

​Accessible parking spaces are near all accessible entrances in the upper and lower parking lot.

WASHROOMS & SEATING

ACCESSIBLE WASHROOM

At the front of the church on the left side upon entry. Also equipped with a changing table, diapers, and other supplies for parents.

 ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Large spaced pews that fit wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobile aids located in the left wing of the church near the Marian Chapel, and at the front of the church.

USHERS

Available at each weekend mass and are happy to guide you to a location or assist you during mass upon request.

COMMUNION & CONFESSION

HAVING COMMUNION
BROUGHT TO YOUR PEW

​ Please inform one of the ushers when entering the church. We will let one of the priests or extraordinary ministers of holy communion know.

GLUTEN-FREE COMMUNION
​

Contact the parish office and we will arrange for a gluten-free host to be distributed prior to distributing hosts with gluten.

CONFESSIONAL
​

Our confessional is fully wheelchair accessible, located in the foyer of the church.

SOUND, QUIET LOCATIONS, SCENT

SOUND AMPLIFICATION SYSTEM

Microphones & speakers are utilized during each Mass so that the sound projects throughout the whole church.

QUIET LOCATION & QUIETER MASS

​If you need a quiet place during Mass, the front foyer is quieter than the main part of the church.

The 8:00 am Mass is our quietest weekend Mass, while the 10:30 am Mass is the noisiest mass.

INCENSE ​

​The Sunday 8:00 am & Saturday 4:30 pm Masses, and all weekday Masses, do not use incense.

The Sunday 10:30 am Mass uses incense.

GUIDE & SERVICE DOGS

​ Certified guide and service dogs are welcome to join us at the parish!
