SAVE THE DATES for Horizons of Hope to be presented in Nanaimo this fall over 4 weekly sessions. This program was developed by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) as a resource kit for palliative care and end-of-life issues.
The 4 modules cover: (MARK YOUR CALENDARS for these dates)
Module 1 — Understanding the Human Experience of Dying and Death (Oct 19th at St Peters' Parish)
Module 2 — Discerning and Making Decisions at the End of Life (Oct 26th at St Peters' Parish)
Module 3 — Accompanying those at the End of Life (Nov 2nd at Holy Trinity Church)
Module 4 — Supporting and Integrating within the Wider Community (Nov 9th at Holy Trinity Church)
* Sessions will run from 9:00am to 11:30am at both locations.
It is Bishop Gary’s vision and wish that all parishes have access to this important and vital information.
Kathy Fadum of St. Peter’s Parish, and Frances Wong of Holy Trinity Parish, are members of the Diocesan Health Care Committee and will be your facilitators for these sessions.
Registration will be on Sept 21st and Sept 22nd at St Peters Parish.
