Our Lady of Victory Church Celebrates 100 Years
On Sunday, July 20, Our Lady of Victory Church on Gabriola Island joyfully marked 100 years of faithful service to the Catholic community. The sacred occasion began with a heartfelt greeting and prayer from a Snuneymuxw Nation elder, honoring the land on which the church stands. A religious artwork was presented to the church, followed by a special Mass celebrated by Bishop Gary, together with Father Harrison. The celebration continued with a joyful outdoor gathering, where the community came together in fellowship, music, and a delicious catered meal to honor this blessed milestone.
