Stoic, calm, and a big fluff of love, Bishop Gary Gordon's golden retriever Merlin is also spending his days at home due to COVID-19. Lured out of retirement, Merlin, one of the stars of Disney's Spooky Buddies, joins us to share his musings and observations to lighten our day. https://www.rcdvictoria.org/diocesan-blog/merlinsmusings ![]() Pope Francis announced that he will bestow an extraordinary Urbi et Orbi blessing on Friday, March 27, 2020. We are mindful of the difficult time we are in and that many of you are experiencing financial difficulties.
During these uncertain times because of the COVID-19 crisis, all Masses in the Victoria Diocese are cancelled. As such, nationally, the Share Lent collection has been postponed. At this time, it is important that we support the most vulnerable members of our communities: the homeless, those in nursing homes, the unemployed, our frontline support workers, and our healthcare professionals. People in the Global South are some of the most vulnerable members of our global society. Our parishioners have been very generous supporters of the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace (CCODP) – Caritas Canada in the past and we are very grateful for your ongoing support. Please stay safe, and stay well. Please visit our Development and Peace website for more information www.devp.org Written by The Office of the Chancery |
